What's on offer?

Eight Homes is looking for an experienced Production Estimator to join our team.

Within this role your responsibilities would include:

• Schedule and produce supplier orders.
• Accurately estimate and assess the building materials required for each job throughout all stages of construction, utilizing mini bills and Master bills of quantity (MBOQ) database.
• Ensure systems including Databuild and Evolve are updated accurately and within required timeframes to ensure adequate job tracking.
• Manage and improve mini bills database to reflect variations.
• Ensure all building variations and on-site queries are actioned within agreed timeframes.
• Liaise with Manager to assist with the order scheduling and issue orders to relevant trades and suppliers.
• Provide support and assistance to stakeholders throughout the business including clarification of plans, display options, quotes, technical assistance and other queries that arise.
• Analyse drafting plans and other documentation to prepare cost, materials, labour estimates, as well as providing Production Drafting team with feedback on feasibility of drawings.

Who are we looking for?

Required:

• 4 years of experience in a comparable role within the residential building/construction industry
• Ability to interpret architectural plans
• Intermediate computer skills in particular, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and CRM programs
• Understanding of scheduling, forecasting, planning, and general building principles, regulations, codes, and stages in residential construction.
